The face is divided into diamonds bas-relief gold and then each section is coloured in deep wine red, gold and antique white along with sections of printed sheet music. This Venetian mask shape goes way back into the history of theatre, around the 1400s and the Comedia del Arte theatrical troupes and our masks are handcrafted by Venetian artisans using techniques that have remained largely unchanged for hundreds of years. Each mask in our Venetian Collection is unique, variations may occur and we will contact you if there are major differences from the mask shown. Please note our mask photos are not to scale - to give you some idea of size the mask measures 22cm from the top of the mask along to the end of the protruding nose.
