The Contessa, also known as the Duchess of Death is a really dramatic costume, but still managing to be elegant. A long blood red velvet sleeveless dress goes on first, then a web fabric tunic (one long bell shaped sleeve and the other cut short to allow for the gauntlet), then a fabric self-tie belt ensures a snug fit and adds to the drama of the piece. Also includes two brooches /decorations shown here on the belt and around the neck. All of this is topped off with the latex gothic gauntlet.
